Acupuncture Facial

ABC News ran a clip on the AcuFacial this morning and people have been asking about it all day, I provide for much less than they quoted on the show.  One of the things I love about this treatment is that it is non-invasive (no harsh chemicals, anesthesia, cutting etc.).  The treatment is RELAXING and reduces stress!

How many sessions does it take?  For the best results you will want to come in once a week for 6-10 weeks and then follow up very 3-4 weeks to maintain the "lift".

How does it work?  Specific acupuncture points are used to increase the energy and blood flow in the face, this can improve muscle tone and decrease puffiness.  Additional needles will be placed to address the problem areas such as lines and wrinkles.

How long has this procedure been around?  The procedure has been around for thousands of years and is commonly called "facial rejuvenation" in the acupuncture community.

How much does it cost?  The same as a normal visit, $125 for the first session/$85 for follow-ups.  I also sell packages so you can save a substantial amount of money (6 visits for $450, a savings of  $125!).  Gift certificates are available and make great gifts.

Is it covered by insurance?  Insurance generally covers pain related conditions such as low back pain or migraines.  Many of the points used for the Acupuncture Facial are also used for conditions like TMJ, Bells Palsy, and migraines.  You will need to check you specific insurance to find out the specific details of your coverage.

Why do some acupuncturists charge more or an additional fee?  Acupuncture Facials tend to take more of the practitioners time than a regular acupuncture session due to the of the number of needles used and delicate concentration used with the needle placement.
