Lunar New Year


This years Lunar New Year will take place February 7th 2008 and will be celebrated in San Diego at several locations. The Lunar New Year is celebrated by many cultures and is also known as the Chinese New Year, Korean New Year, and Vietnamese New Year or Tet. If you have an opportunity to attend a Lunar New Year celebration it is worth it for the food alone!

Tet Festival/Vietnames New Year 2008: Balboa Park

This Years Tet Festival will be celebrated in Baloboa Park at the corner of Park Blvd. and Presidents Way. Click here for directions. There will be lots of food, booths, culture, and activities for the kids. I will be there all three days discussing acupuncture and offering acupunture treatments and massage in the vendor booth section.

Chinese New Year Celebration: Open House at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine

Pacific College of Oriental Medicine holds several open houses each year, and provides free acupuncture and massage treatments offered by the students. Be sure to RSVP if you would like one of thier free service since space fills up fast. This is a great time to get a smoking cessation treatment if your New Years resolution fell through!

2008 Chinese New Year Fair

The San Diego Chinese New Year Fair will be held at San Diego Chinese Center located at 428 3rd Ave., San Diego, Ca 92101. Parking may be a challenge, there are pay lots and public transportation. This is the 26th annual event, don't miss the Chinese lantern parade.
